Connecting dots to make shapes
A had much fun making various shapes. This time, I tried showing her how we can make similar shapes by connecting dots in different ways.
Connecting 3 dots in a closed manner forms a triangle while in an open manner just forms a line. Likewise, we can draw square, rectangle, parallelogram, trapezium etc by connecting dots in different ways.
Here are some of the shapes she tried to do.
You could encourage your child to draw any new shape by connecting in a unique manner. A just put dots in a line and joined them, later in two lines, joined them and said it was a car. You or your child could come up with many more crazy ideas.
